Raised in Kingston, Jamaica — had some stints at school in the US. Now living in Madrid — collecting people and ideas along the way.

I’m often pulled in by the small things — passing thoughts, little moments, patterns in how we live and move through the world.

I seem to spend a lot of time in my head — for better or for worse — and ideas and thoughts tend to run freely without permission. Sometimes they show up while I’m walking, sometimes mid-conversation — and, best of all, when I’m trying to fall asleep. I’ll follow them for a while, turn them over, and (if I’m lucky) tuck them away — waiting for the right moment, or the right person, to bring them out.

When I do start sharing them, I’m often struck by how different our lives may seem on the surface — and yet, how similar the experiences running through them.

That’s where Notes by Sof comes in. It’s a space to pull out those tucked-away thoughts — to reflect, to play with ideas, to start conversations.

Fair warning: sometimes I feel like a living contradiction. I’ll connect deeply with an idea one season, and months later, find myself seeing the opposite side just as clearly. My thinking is constantly evolving — these are just notes, not conclusions.

Some are light, some are deeper, some are just me wondering out loud. The goal isn’t to be polished or definitive — it’s to stay curious.
